Update: A few people have asked why we took Ugo off our site for the month of June. We had a scare that he had gone sterile because of a miss reading on a sperm sample. After taking additional samples and sending to lab his sperm count is good. So he's back in service.

Ugo is a well-rounded versatile dog with 1/2 working and 1/2 show lines and has mixed great with our dames that have a variety of working and show lines as well. He has an awesome temperament with an unending willingness to please. He has a very strong ball-drive. He is wonderful with small children with other animals, and does well with strangers. He has a beautiful jet-black and red coat with no peppering(no grey hairs in saddle). He has a strong heritage of good hips and elbows with excellent ZW #'s.

Our main reason for bringing Canadian, East German, West German, Czech, show and working lines- "types" together is to avoid possible genetic faults that can occur from bloodlines that are too closely related or "line-breeding" and Ugo is about as diversified as they get. We have carefully selected our breeding stock to bring the different GSD "types" together to produce sound puppies with health and temperament a priority above all. Diversity at our kennel inadvertently has given us a variety of temperaments, colors, coat lengths, and structures to choose from. So far Ugo has sired: a few Long Coats; some Plush Coats-which is show coat length and not to be confused with long coats; Normal Coats-which is typically seen in working dogs; and Mole Coats-which is very short and also seen in working dogs. Mole Coat is so short it is similar to a Labrador Retriever coat. Please go to the bottom of Puppies Available page to see diagram and description of coat lengths. Ugo has also sired a variety of colors: solid black, black and red, bicolour, and black and tan. No sables are expected to come from him.
